John 1:42-44

⁴² and he brought Simon to Jesus.

When Jesus saw him, He said, “You are Simon, son of John.^[a] You will be called Cephas”^(A) (which means “Rock”).

Philip and Nathanael

⁴³ The next day He^[b] decided to leave for Galilee. Jesus found Philip^(B) and told him, “Follow Me!”

⁴⁴ Now Philip was from Bethsaida,^(C) the hometown of Andrew and Peter.
